What happened to your first 'grey water feeding green wall' topic? I don't really think "THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WALL AND CEILING DIFFUSERS" is analytical. You might want to talk to one of the teachers, or look at some other reports.
I've gone through a few topic changes because I made the same mistake..
Thanks for the input Brandon. I found it difficult to find info on the watering systems of green walls since green walls are new designs. I'm more interested in Mechanical and HVAC and I attended a seminar on diffusers for our 3rd year trip. Making a comparison of two methods is analytical and encouraged by our teachers. I'd even suggest going that way since I have already written my report.
Hey Bryan, I was curious on what you found out on you r report between wall and ceiling diffusers. Also, is return air better when it is inducted close to the floor or near the ceiling?
I am also kinda curious about which style is better. I would maybe look at which is more efficient in a large building as you may need to make that choice as a mechanical designer.
In regards to your comment Denton, I am in the midst of reseaching this new topic and I have not found an answer to which is better. Both methods are used regularly and have a good impact, but I am looking into which method is more suitable for a classroom scenario.
Thanks for your input John. I was hoping you might have been awake for that HVAC seminar to share some info that I might have missed. In regards to looking at larger buildings I am basing my research on the effect in the classrooms of Old Main.
Hey there, If you want to look at some other types of diffuser, check out: http://www.flaktwoods.ie/products/air-terminal-devices-and-ducts/air-diffusers/ They have a wide variety.
Hi Bryan. you should talk to Walter. im sure he could be a great help. also i could talk to my uncle if you want. he has his own construction company back home and has done quite a bit of mechanical work back home. if your interested i could call him and im sure he could refer me to some good contacts for information for you.
I have to agree with Brandon that looking at the differences between wall and ceiling diffusers is not analytical. This is just informative. If you were to compare the two in order to determine which one is best suited for a particular situation, this would be analytical. Comparing a displacement air system like the one we saw at EH Price with a traditional forced air system would give your research a more suitable scope, while also keeping it current with new technology.
Thank you for the input Dale. I have just posted my abstract outline and I have shown my thesis question which is to determine which diffuser would be more suitable for an Old Main classroom which would make it an analytical report.
